Lane Motor Museum is committed to providing equal access to all museum visitors.

Organizational Accessibility

Lane Motor Museum is wheelchair-friendly and the exhibit area is completely accessible to visitors. Visitors may use mobility devices, including manual and electric wheelchairs, mobility scooters, and manually powered mobility aids (such as walkers, canes, and crutches) in all areas open to public use.

Visitors may borrow manual wheelchairs from the coat check on a first-come, first-served basis.

Lane Motor Museum provides seating in the lobby, on the museum floor, the play area, Welcome Theater, our snack room, as well as outside on the museum grounds

Designated spaces in the public parking area facing the front of Lane Motor Museum are available for visitors with a valid permit.

Service Animals

Museum policy allows a guide dog or service animal to accompany a visitor with a disability at all times, except in the rare occasion where there is a direct threat to others.

Restrooms

The Museum offers public restrooms equipped with accessible stalls and changing tables. Additionally, the museum has two family restrooms

Food & Drink

To best preserve and protect the collection, no food or drink shall be consumed on the museum floor. We understand certain medical conditions require regular access to food and drink; a snack area is available and provided for your use.

Guided Touch Tours

Explore and experience our collection through description and touch! We offer guided touch tours for our V.I.P. (Visually Impaired Persons) guests. Touch Tours are led by a museum educator and are available to blind or partially-sighted visitors of all ages, individually or in groups. Tours range from 30 min – 1hr and are customizable.

*Touch tours are not offered in the Vault due to safety concerns. Tour guides make every effort to be as descriptive as possible regarding our collection storage area tours.
