Lane Motor Museum can make your dream come true with our Rally for The Lane – an annual fundraising event for Lane Motor Museum where participants get to drive one of our cars as part of an all-day rally! Specifications for the 1971 Morris Mini

1= Handles and drives like a Model T
10=Handles and drives like a modern car

Description The classic old mini with all its charm and shortcomings  
Speed The car is plenty fast enough for any situation. Rating= 8
Brakes Hydraulic disc up front and drum in the rear Rating= 7
Handling Wheelbase is short and wheels are small, the ride is very firm and the car is somewhat darty, avoid any large holes in the road! Rating= 6
Transmission 4-speed manual, shifts well Rating= 7
Visibility Very good  
Safety 3 point seatbelts in front  
Passengers 2 in front. There are seats in the rear but they are really too small for people. People taller than 5’10” will not be comfortable. The driver’s seat has only 2 positions.  
Climate Control Heat  
Quirks Has an engine immobilizer, must push the smooth button on the key fob to disarm so the car will start  
Driver Position Left-hand drive  
Overall Rating 8 out of 10
