Lane Motor Museum is excited to offer Vehicle Demonstrations and guided Vault Tours on the weekends!
Vehicle Demonstrations take place most Saturdays and Sundays at 11:00 am and 1:30 pm, a half-hour before each Vault Tour. Vehicle Demonstrations could include anything from feeling the prop-wash of our propeller-driven 1932 Helicron to seeing how the tiny, on-of-a-kind Le Carabe runs and drives around the crowded museum floor. Vehicle Demonstrations are included with your admission and will take place right on the museum floor. Demonstrations are currently offered on weekends only, conditions permitting.
Vault Tours are held on most Saturdays and Sundays at 11:30 am and again at 2:00 pm. Vault tour schedules may change weekly so please check the schedule below to verify that a Vault Tour is scheduled for the specific day you wish to visit. Tours are currently offered on weekends only. Only guided tours of the vault area are available so guests are not able to visit the vault unattended.
WHAT IS THE VAULT TOUR? Although the museum has over 580 cars and motorcycles in our collection, we only have space to display about 150 cars at any given time. This tour is approximately 45 minutes long and gives an opportunity to view many of the other cars in our collection that are stored downstairs. Groups for vault tours will gather inside the museum exhibit area, near the brochure display. Tours will begin promptly at their scheduled time so please arrive about 5 minutes before the start time. Guests are asked to stay inside the yellow lines at all times because there are many slippery spots from oil and grease spills so it is dangerous to walk between the cars. Photography is allowed.
HOW MUCH IS THE TOUR?: Tours can be added to your museum admission for an additional $6.00* per participant. Limit of 30 per tour. Tickets available at the admissions counter. Tours are sold on a first come, first served basis with no reservations held. *We reserve the right to adjust pricing and availability of tours at any time, without notice.
IS THE VAULT ACCESSIBLE? To access the vault from the main exhibit level, you will have to travel down a long, steep flight of stairs. If you are unable to use the stairs, please let a member of the museum staff know and we can help make arrangements to meet you at the back door of the vault. You will have to drive or walk to the back of the building to access this door.
