Museum Reception: Claude Guéniffey presents “The History of Marcel Leyat”

Join us on Friday, April 26 from 6-9pm as we welcome a very special guest who will be visiting from France to speak at our member’s reception – Claude Guéniffey, president of the Helica Club and the world’s foremost expert on propeller-driven cars and Marcel Leyat. Claude is the person who found the original plans and thousands of other documents in Meursault, France in 2004. Since then, Claude has put on five exhibits (all in France) focusing on Marcel Leyat.

2013 is the 100th Anniversary of Leyat’s first propeller-driven car. In recognition of that milestone Claude is creating an exhibit for Lane Motor Museum about Marcel Leyat’s achievements. This will be a very rare opportunity to see Claude’s presentation in the U.S.

In honor of our special guest we will be serving an assortment of European wine & cheese!
