Skoda S110 LS- 1975
After the success of the Skoda 1000 series of cars, the brand looked towards modernizing their offering of smaller family vehicles. The 110 series was developed to fill the space. First introduced in 1969, the 100 and 110 were stylish rear engine, rear wheel drive cars that came as both coupes and saloons. The difference between the 100 and the 110 was engine displacement, the 100 being a 1.0 liter and the 110 being a 1.1 liter.
The 110 LS was marketed as Skoda’s “Super de Luxe” model featuring special trim, reclining seats, and most importantly, the more powerful engine from the Skoda 110 R coupe. Skoda achieved immense success with the 100/110 series as it became the company’s first model to sell more than a million units.
