Butterfly Ladder Airplane- 1979

This ultralight airplane was considered during its time to be the lightest aircraft in the world, with an empty weight of only 145 lbs! It could be launched with a running start  or towed by a car until it reached take-off speed. Like the Flying Flea, it is a stagger-wing biplane, and could be built from a kit by amateur builders.  Assembly time is approximately 10 days.
