This 1987 Nissan BE-1 is one of eight cars that is displayed in our newest exhibit of Nissan Pike Cars.
The exhibit will feature four of our Nissan Pike cars along with the cars that may have influenced them. What is a “pike” car? According to Phil Patton in a 2011 New York Times article “They were collectively known as the Pike cars because they were intended to represent the spearhead of a new approach: adapting design and marketing strategies from other industries like personal electronics.” The Nissan Pike Cars exhibit will be on display from Jan. 10, 2013- Jan. 6, 2014.
