The Neracar was the design of Carl Neracher and produced by his company, Ner-A-Car Corporation, in Syracuse, New York. The unique features of a low-slung frame, friction-drive, and hub steering made the Neracar an easy to ride two-wheeler.
Unlike motorcycles, these features made the vehicle extremely stable, easy to steer, and allowed for pass-through ingress and egress, making it easier for women of the period to ride with dresses on. The full body paneling of the Neracar not only protected riders better from road dirt, but also from the vehicle’s grease and oil.
This Neracar is in completely original condition and the museum is only the third owner of this wonderful time capsule.
