Beginning in the early 1950s, many amateur race cars were nothing more than a street car with some limited modifications. Competitors often drove their cars to the track, raced, and then drove the car home. This is a Saab 93 model that began its racing life in the early 1960s. It has: front disc brakes, Sonett transaxle, 850gt engine bored to 74mm, roll bar, fuel cell, Sonett driver's seat, early Sonett alloy wheels. This car has been vintage raced extensively from 1987-2001.
