Bicycles this small generally are not a practical means of transportation, as pedaling is extremely difficult and riding is usually much slower than walking. It is no surprise that this bicycle design is advertised to performers and entertainers, most notably circus clowns!
As one of the smallest bikes in the world, just 14″ high and 17½” long at its smallest, (the handlebars and seat are both adjustable), the rider requires a good sense of balance; one can easily tumble backward while attempting to ride it!
While this design is sold under many names, QU-AX being the most common, the Mini Monster, seen here, is quite obscure. The miniature frame is made of heavy-gauge steel and the tiny tires are solid heavy rubber.
